Would you touch or even kiss a dead person at a open casket funeral or wake?
Maybe it depends on your relationship with the deceased. When my husband died at 27, I could not bring myself to kiss him or to touch his actual hand. He was of course, cold. He was NEVER cold in life, and I just could not do it. I held my hand on his arm for what seemed like ages though. Had he not been cold, I probably would have kissed him. Darn, now I’m crying. Different people have different reactions to death and all its trappings and procedures. Just be kind to those left behind and do what makes you comfortable.
