Would you survive a 60 mph crash head on with a big rig in a 2008 Volvo S80?
@60mph (or 70mph) in a head-on crash (we have to assume the other vehicle is traveling in the on-coming direction at the same speed) the energy of (effectively) 120mph (or 140mph) has to be dissipated. Because of the mass difference, I *think*, barring a stroke of luck (or an act of God), and you somehow bounce off (but being, as you say “head-on”) you had better hope your life insurance is paid up.
