Sorry for the late reply, I’ve briefly read through the sources and the ones that specifically allude to actual research are very wishy washy in that there “might be” a causal link between playing violent video games and developing violent tendencies, as opposed to the critics argument that violent people gravitate to such media in the first place. The most feasible argument in your sources is that they may desensitise a normal person to scenes of violence, but that is a long way from turning normal people into psychopaths. Regardless though; even if it was proved that playing such games or indulging in any violent media was to blame for violent behaviour would this be justification for censorship? It is a basically assumed human right that people are judged by their actions and not their thoughts.
