Would you prefer a Presidential candidate who is forceful about expressing his/her views or a consensus builder?”
I love your question–I hope you don’t mind a political-sounding answer! I think it is possible to be both–and more specifically, to be forceful about being a consensus builder. Playing lip-service to consensus building, and then pushing an ideologically-bent agenda, is more dangerous than being a blatant ideologue. Yet recent election results continue to confirm that we are, at present, a nation that is virtually split down the middle in our political preference. For not only my own benefit, but for the benefit of my differing neighbors, I’d prefer a candidate who is focused on finding consensus. Thanks for asking a pertinent, thought-provoking question.
