While I do not know about the laws in India, I know that, LEGALLY, you are not allowed to WEAR a flag of the USA as an “article of clothing,” nor it’s representation. Of course, there are SO many who VIOLATE this law, it is unmanageable to enforce. The United States Flag Code lists many guidelines for the use and display of the flag. For example : —“No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform” — The flag “should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper”.
