Yes, depending on what they were writing about. If you’re referring to the Bible, they never believed the Earth was flat. And if you dismiss everything from more than 2000 years ago, you’d better never go to a doctor. They take the Hippocratic Oath, after all, and Hippocrates is considered the father of modern medicine, and he died in the 4th century B.C. Much of our technology and our knowledge of mechanics can be traced to Philo of Byzantium, who lived in the 3rd century B.C. Pythagoras was a famous mathemetician who lived in the 6th century B.C. Don’t knock the ancients. All of our knowledge is built on what they knew.
