Would u leave ur grandma or mom in a foster care?
I would like to think that I would take care of her, but if I wasn’t able to give her quality care the best thing would be for her to be somewhere where she could be taken good care of. If I could afford to have a nurse or an assistant come over & help care for her, then that would be the best option, but sometimes that isn’t financially feasible. There are too many elderly family members that recieve substandard care because the family feels that it is “bad” to put them into an assisted care facility. I’ve seen tons of otherwise caring family members come into my work worn down with the task of caring for these parents & I know that no parent would want that for their child, or themselves. Taking care of an adult isn’t the same as taking care of a child. There are some similarities, but in the end it is drastically different. I know this from talking to the live-in who took care of my elderly aunt until she passed. Elder care is very hard to do. I would try to care for her for as long
