over 99% of mutations are bad, most end up with cancerous growths so making mice this way wouldn’t be effective, you pretty much would just have to hope for a mutation that would do what you want to do without other mutations killing your mouse, just won’t happen statistically, Selective breed for specific traits may be possible though, but not how it would work for the cane toad problem This was done to fruit flies, which is why we have some many varieties such as some with no eyes or red eyes or no wings, Basicly they blasted the fruit flies with radiation and created a lot of different types but fruit flies don’t exactly got a lot of genes to begin with
