Would truck driving be a good week-end part-time job?

You’re not going to get a truck driving job just driving weekends. Unless you live in a huge metro area that has a need for rail drivers to do some short runs. Which, I’ve never heard of. You might find a company that needs to local deliveries on weekends but I doubt it, most short haul co’s don’t do weekends. Most companies I know of would never waste $ on training someone just to work a couple hours a month. Maybe if it interests you you should consider it as a full time job instead. Truck driving isn’t something you just do one day, there is training, there are licenses, there are commitments, you can’t expect to drive all over creation in 2 days and be back for Monday, you have DOT hours to contend with. It’s not an easy ‘drive down the road listening to the tunes’ job it’s a responsibility, you have 80,000 lbs to control and one wrong move could kill you and many others. There is no such thing as a ‘weekend driver’ sorry!
