Would this dress look good in a chiffon material instead?
Chiffon is a type of weave, it is exactly what is pictured. Chiffon can be made of many different fibers, silk is the best because it is very thin and drapes really nicely. If you are trying to cut down on costs, look for a Poly chiffon. It is much cheaper although a bit heavier. Don’t use a crinkle chiffon, it stretches and changes shape. Poly chiffon will pleat nicely if a skilled dressmaker is doing this for you. Just don’t iron it! It will melt, since polyester is essentially plastic that is woven very thinly.
