Would this be considered as individual or human rights violations?
This is a “catch 22” question. For security reasons and because that very religion, in its more extreme form, does advocate terrorism, the French have NO alternative but to outlaw the wearing of Burqas in public. When young Muslim mothers teach their small children that to die killing Jews and Christians is to assure an eternal reward and many would be quite willing or even eager to die as suicide bombers themselves, the Burqa is too great a security risk to be tolerated. I am painfully aware of religious persecution and that allowing the free practice of religious beliefs, when not a danger to the public must be protected. However any religion or belief system that encourages mass murder and destruction of innocent non-combatants must at the least be considered suspect and any part of that religious belief system that is a danger to overall public safety MUST be forbidden. Here in the U. S. we have gone to the other extreme and now forbid the teaching of a religion that teaches peace
