There is only one of eleven Shale modules that has similar goals as Facelets. Shale Clay is a view technology similar to Facelets. However, Facelets definitely has a lot more momentum right now. Shale Dialog, View Controller, Remoting, Tiger Extensions, and Validation modules all look really interesting to me. I know I’d be interested in using all of them. I hope IceFaces will play nice with Shale (if not Clay). http://struts.apache.
