Would the world be better if there was one universal language?
No. While it would be nice if everyone knew one language and if everyone could communicate together, then the language, for example, English would be a very empty language, as many English words and phrases are derived from other languages. Furthermore, if you think that having one language would make everything easier, and make less wars, then think first, in the past, wars integrated different cultures, while war is not as beneficial anymore, we would be really pathetic if war had never broken out. And regardless of language, wars would break out. ITS HUMAN NATURE and also, languages can be special to people. I used to have a friend who’s mum died. they were from a very small, obscure group of people who spoke the language- Inuit i think it was after her mum died her dad wouldn’t let her see the people who her mum had been close to. and she couldn’t find anything else to connect herself to her mum except for her mum’s language.
