Would the world be a better place if we all spoke like HRH Queen Elizabeth 2?
The question is a giveway. Calling the Queen HRH is a mistake made only by people from the US, including the people in charge of BBC America! Everyone else refers to her as HM the Queen, HM standing for Her Majesty. I’ve often been criticised for speaking the Queen’s English, but I’m grateful to her for keeping up standards of clear pronounciation and accurate grammar and therefore make no apology for doing so. But the world would be a less colourful place if we didn’t speak with our regional accents and provided that we can be understood readily by those around us, let us continue to do so.
