If you have cysts on your ovaries, then you have PCOS. It’s not the same thing as Endometriosis. Endo doesn’t cause cysts. In answer to your question though: no, they would not necessarily have found any endometriosis unless they were specifically looking for it. They would PROBABLY have found it – because endo lesions are generally fairly obvious when they put a camera in there – but they may not have looked around and behind all of your organs, and they may not have investigated things that they’d just consider to be minor, normal discolorations. I’ve had surgery for endo, and all the surgeon did was complain about how hard it was to actually see my lesions until they started cutting into them. They were really well disguised! However, at 16 you don’t have an especially high risk of endometriosis. It tends to come on later, as a woman passes through her child-bearing years.
