Would the saddler be able to make my saddle sit further back a bit more somehow?
In some cases, the flock can be adjusted to help keep the saddle back – usually by adding more flock to the very front of the panel and “squaring” it up. However, if the saddle is sliding forward because of other fitting issues (problems with billet placement, tree shape or width, or panel configuration, for example), adjusting the flock won’t do much good. Sometimes a shaped or anatomical girth can be helpful as long as the basic overall fit is good. A good saddle fitter should be able to tell you if a flocking adjustment would help.
