Would the renaissance have spread without the printing press?

1

The renaissance would have spread but the speed at which it spread wouldn’t even be close to the real speed. The people of the Renaissance’s education in general wouldn’t have been as high which means that the speed of learning would have decreased because more people would stick to the old ways approved by the church because it wouldn’t be that important to read. The printing press allowed a mass production of books which meant that more people could learn more information, and not just the upper class.
