Would the lines stand up to tire wear if used on the centreline?
Yes, we’ve had Royal Canadian Air Cadet test pilots try to purposely damage the lines on landings and all was kept in place without any damage. Also, the landing lines are to give the pilot the directions where to land since many air strips do not have permanent side markings they will not land at the exact place each time.
