Would the Groomers get mad if i took my dog in for a shave when she has fleas?
Tell the groomer when you make the appointment about the fleas, and go from there. Some will happily give a flea bath, some won’t accept your dog. If the dog is matted, and you are unable to brush the mats out, make a regular appointment for the dog to get a brush-out from the groomer (like, once every week or two). Those mats are unhealthy and painful. OR, ask the groomer to show you how to de-mat the dog and which tools to use for regular brushing to prevent this. It’s essential that they don’t get out of control again. A de-matting tool would be a wise investment-the groomer can order you one and show you how to use it. It’s hard to say whether the groomer is willing to take on a dog that might infest her shop with fleas…only way to know is to ask. You’re bound to find one that will take your dog. If the dog still has fleas after being treated with Advantage, you should talk to your vet about a more effective treatment plan.
