Would the fountain pump make unwanted noise?
There are three reason why fountain pumps make unwanted noise: • The main reason fountain pumps make noise is because they are not fully submerged in water. Make sure they are fully submerged in water to stop the unwanted noise. • Additionally, there may be air bubbles that get into the tubing when you turn on the fountain after long time. This problem would auto-fix itself when you leave the fountain on for sometime. (as long as there is sufficient water in the basin – typically, it should be filled about halfway) • Fountain pump is in contact with basin and its vibration with basin is making noise. You may solve this problem with submerging your fountain in water in such a way that it is not in contact with the basin wall, or by placing a cushion of sponge between basin wall and fountain pump.
