The only thing I know about art is the fact that if an artist says their work is art, then it sure is art. This is non-negotiable, otherwise there would be a whole lot of artists that would have to title themselves something else.

In addition those movies exist for those 3D movie theaters and you wouldn’t really be able to compete with that. If you want to make a movie about roller coasters you would need to consider what you want to communicate about riding a roller coaster. Is it the speed? You could exaggerate that by shooting at a lower frame rate. If it’s the exitement you might want to not show the ride at all, but just a closeup of the face of one person experiencing the ride. That would be much more interesting. Think about how you can make a movie about a roller coaster say something which isn’t extremely obvious and hasn’t been done often before. And please, make sure you do not film anything from a handheld video camera.
