Would the farmers get the inputs like seeds, fertilizers and pesticides free of cost through the cooperative?
The objectives of cooperatives supported by SAFAL includes provisioning of best kinds of inputs at a reasonable price, through tie up with reputed input supply agencies and also ensuring marketing of produce at a better price in tie up with nodal marketing agencies. The cooperative is a profit making enterprise and do require financial base to extend services to its clients. Thus, it does not supply inputs to farmers free of cost but creates best possible marketing linkages for its clients.
