Would taking one 10mg pill of paxil make me gain weight?
1 pill certainly won’t do anything and 10 mg is not even a therapeutic dose, it is a tiny amount. Why does that make you freak out? I can certainly understand not wanting to gain weight but statistically most people don’t gain weight and if they do the vast majority gain under 5 lbs/2.2 kg. There is a small chance you could be one of the few people who gain a considerable amount of weight. However (aside from the fact that is rare) you can weight yourself every few days and if you start to notice weight gain then talk to your doctor. But don’t weight yourself daily and weight yourself at the same time on the days you do weight yourself. Everyones weight does fluctuate a bit over the day as a result to get a realistic determination if you are gaining weight you need to weight yourself every 3-7 days. There are other medications you can take. Are you just taking it for anxiety? In any case I would actually recommend you call your doctor and ask about a different medication. Paxil is not
