A full explanation would take pages, but not having a full explanation would not do the subject justice because you wouldn’t be able to make an informed decision on your stand. I will try to make this as short as I can: Tibet was always a part of China in a sense ever since the Qing dynasty several centuries ago, because they were a tribute state. No one really considered Tibet an independent country ever. China lost control of Tibet along with many other areas when the West invaded around the 1900’s, dividing the country into many separately controlled areas and bringing the Opium War to China. Even Japan, its neighbor took part in this. Tibet was an areas that many wanted to control. Britain was one of these countries, and they actually massacred many Tibetans in the process (something not many people will tell you). China was not really able to take back full control until the period of unrest after WWII, in the 1950’s, during the Communist revolution. When the communist government
