Would someone outline the law on Magic Mushrooms in Amsterdam for me?
Jean-Michel is correct, Magic mushrooms were banned here Dec-2008 predominantly due to tourists under the influence jumping off bridges & buildings, driving amok through campsites and such like. In the months after the smartshops (note smartshops not coffeeshops, because coffeeshops have never sold mushrooms) sold out their remaining stock and were not prosecuted for doing so, but then did not restock or sell over the counter. In the last year I have been reading forums http://lem.localinet.co.uk/phpBB2/viewfo… and watching reports that it was getting harder & harder to obtain under the counter. In fact I was reading up on it last week and it’s pretty unanimous that it’s nigh impossible to buy them now. Smartshops have started to stock truffles as a replacement. Now you might well be able to find someone on the streets who is offering to sell them but only a fool would
