Would rich and famous celebrities act like such morons if they weren rich and famous?
Couple things: Alice Cooper said that every rock musician he knows is a moron. Maybe he doesn’t know Kris Kristofferson, who’s some kind of superbrain, but in general he may be right–I wouldn’t know, he certainly should. And comic Julia Gorin says that in acting school you’re told not to think because it interferes with emoting, which explains why so many celebrities don’t seem capable of thinking but are into every feel-good cause that comer down the pike, regardless of the result of such causes. And when you have lots of money that you haven’t really earned except by fantastic good luck, like Theresa Heinz Kerry, you can get away with saying and doing really stupid things.
