Would regular or special sections of Practicing Geophysics be coordinated with special sections of Geophysics and TLE?

• The ultimate goal of Practicing Geophysics is to promote participation of practicing geophysicists in SEG publications. It is also important that SEG’s two existing journals—Geophysics and TLE—are not adversely affected. Mechanisms might be established so that Geophysics, TLE, Practicing Geophysics, and the Presentation Library teams can work in tandem to develop publication-worthy materials. For example, in solicitations or in evaluating PowerPoint presentations, the same panels of reviewers and their evaluations might be shared for processing eventual submissions to one or more of the journals. • It might be unnecessarily restrictive for Geophysics, TLE, and Practicing Geophysics to coordinate their topic sections. The PG regular sections would be a slowly evolving list of simultaneously running topics while the TLE topics are scheduled to vary from month to month. • Soliciting editors of a PG special section should be aware of any related upcoming TLE or Geophysics special section
