Would property owners be required to donate land for the construction of noise barriers?
If the proposed noise barrier were to be located along the right-of-way, no private property would be required. However, some noise barriers have been proposed beyond the right-of-way line. These barriers would require the donation of property or easements in order to be constructed. Property owners, however, will not under any circumstances be forced to donate property.
