Would people who are Deaf prefer on-site interpreters to VRI?

A. Sure they would in some cases, just like hearing people would prefer to talk face-to-face to their hearing colleagues; however Deaf people accept that the world is changing and technology is becoming a bigger part of everyday life. In addition, it is becoming harder to schedule interpreters as ever increasing number of places utilizes them for communication access. Having VRI saves time, gets them access in ways and places they never had it before, making it is a very acceptable form of communication, just like telephones and email for people who are hearing.
