Would Nicol ever warm to the idea of recording the Hobbit unabridged?
His version is resonant to so many, I’m sure there would be interest in a complete read-through — especially in light of the coming Hobbit film. As an aside, I discovered Early Music at a young age through The Hobbit. I tried to learn all the snatches of music on my mandolin. I still get chills when the opening music begins!
