Would new zoning allow the Hospital to submit plans that are substantially different from what we are seeing today?
It would not be in the Hospital’s interest to submit plans that are substantially different from what we are proposing. One of the benefits of new zoning is that it would require the Hospital to submit a master plan showing proposed building uses and locations. Any master plan, as part of the Township’s tentative plan approval, is subject to public review and comment. The Township can accept or reject the plan based, in part, upon how the plan relates to the existing neighborhood in which the development is proposed. By getting community and neighborhood input now, the Hospital seeks to develop a master plan that incorporates neighborhood feedback. Any major deviations from the approved master plan would require the Hospital to go back to our neighbors again for their input.
