Would my school be canceled tomorrow because of cold weather?

I don’t think they will cancel there- I live in Iowa and tonight and tomorrow morning there is supposed to be a low of -25 without wind chill and -50 with wind chill. However, they did cancel school for tomorrow already. The last week or so though, we’ve had temperatures like what you’ve described and they’ve had school except the days that there’s been blowing snow or a decent amount of snow the night before. Since you live in Chicago, I’d look for there to be a possibility of school being cancelled or delayed Friday. If not then, I wouldn’t get my hopes up because by Saturday, hopefully this crap will be out of Iowa. So you can do the math and figure out when it will pass over Chicago! Good Luck with your hopes of no school though!

They’ll definitely at least delay it. The exact same thing happened to my school, and it was at -19 degrees windchill as well. So expect a delay, and if there’s some snow added in, you might be able to count on a cancellation. Actually, based on the Chicago weather report that says dangerously high wind chill of -30 degrees along with 2 to 4 inches of snow, expect school to be cancelled.
