As midwifery is only at degree level now she would either have to have A-levels or an Access qualification to apply. It doesn’t necessarily have to be an Access to Nursing course, I did an Access to Health Professionals course to get into nursing & half of my class went on to midwifery. As long as the course includes human biology or human physiology, it’s generally acceptable. At my college the girls who needed Maths just took the GCSE or Numeracy class alongside the Access. The uni’s do require you to have either a GCSE in Maths, C minimum or Numeracy Level 2.
