Would Most Small Businesses Really be Hurt by the New Health Care Proposals? There has been much talk about how the new House and Senate health care proposals would harm small businesses. However, there is another side to this issue well presented by the Desert Beacon. The tax on small businesses making over $350,000 per year as part of the funding suggestion for the health care program is not seen to be burdensome for small business as it would only affect 1.2% of U.S. taxpayers, leaving 98.8% of U.S. taxpayers unaffected. True small business like garbage collection, pet grooming, and others are unaffected while the Desert Beacon alleges that the definition of small business has been “stretched” to include partners in larg
