Would Mike Leach Head Coach of Texas Tech be great for Tennessee?
With the right recruits he could have Tennessee back on top. With his style of offense he could throw all over the SEC which is a run heavy/smash mouth conference. Also he can leave after this season at Texas Tech and can buy his way out of his contract for $500,000. Plus he would be coaching in the prestigious SEC the greatest football conference in the NCAA. He has experience in the SEC as an Offensive Coordinator at Kentucky. Texas Tech will also be in a rebuilding year with Graham Harrell graduating. I enjoy watching Mike Leach coached football teams. I think he could be a success at any school if given time. I don’t live in Tennessee but I’ve been in Knoxville enough to know that the fans and alums are quiet fickle. Winning now is what they want. When they lose 1 game it’s like the world has come to an end. They aren’t patient enough to wait for a rebuilding program to come to fruition.
