Would lithium aspartate or lithium orotate help?
Lithium orotate is usually sold as a tonic. I have no knowledge of Lithium aspartate. I’m not aware of any major, evidence-based clinical trials that have been conducted on the use of Lithium orotate in early dementia. I usually recommend Aricept or Excelon for my patients with early dementia but they wouldn’t be eligible for this on the NHS. Although this group of drugs shows greater cost effectiveness for the Treasury by being used in moderately severe dementia many patients have told me that taking it early has benefited them and their family far more.
