Would Jesus go to war to kill other men?
If you ask your rabbi today if you should go to court (the civil equivalent of war) to enforce some legal contract or to get compensation for some wrong he has done to you, mostly he’ll tell you that court (war) is the last resort and if you can reach a settlement outside of court (war) you’ll be a lot better off. I don’t see that Jesus was all that much more pro-war than your average rabbi. In fact, he was mostly *against* the pharisees and high priests of his own religion (kind of like fighting politicians who suggest we MUST right some wrong by going to war). Good question, but I suspect people will always carry crosses to war thinking Jesus would support the war (I’m pretty sure he would always care about people…I don’t think he cared much for war).
