Would it be safe for me to take colchicine and indomethacin while taking the Robutussin?
Yes. There are no direct drug interactions between Robitussin (guaifenesin), colchicine and indomethacin (Indocin). They may be taken together if needed. Drink plenty of water with both Robitussin and colchicine. Take indomethacin with food or milk. Colchicine is one of the drugs that will interact with grapefruit, so avoid grapefruit. Take all of these only as needed or as prescribed by your physician. You may want to get a referral to a dietician to assist in meal planning to help your gout condition.
