Would it be redundant for teachers to attend the professional development training in service-learning offered by the ESC(s) listed on TCSL web site?

Perhaps. These trainings have slightly different focuses. The training on February 21 will focus on meeting the needs of the population served specifically through this program. We will also offer coaching at your sites, additional training in Austin, and ongoing technical assistance in support of the program. The Service-Learning Implementation training focuses on an introduction to service-learning as well as orientation to the Learn and Serve America grant program. If you attend the Learn and Serve America training, you would also be eligible to apply for a Leaarn and Serve grant, which might complement your activities under the Title IV Community Service Grant program. If you want additional training, including more advanced service-learning training, contact your ESC specialist in your region.
