I would not think that was racist, just redundant. Most of history taught in schools is history involving white folks. As far as all of these history months, I would like to see just plain history taught… all of it. I would like to see all history, white and minority populace, taught concurrently, in its proper order and in its proper proportion. I think that the cultures associated with the ethnicities should be part of course curriculum and incorporated as part of how this affects the individuals and events that go into American history. Rather than history month this, history month that, I would like to see specials shown about “minority” history shown normally on television. As it is, black history month compartmentalizes black history into just February. Take it out of its box and show these programs year long.
