Would it be possible to drive a car across North and South America?

There’s a lot of red tape and you should do your research for each country you will pass through in terms of bringing a car in, insurance, etc., but the main problem is getting from Panama to Colombia. There is no road to get through the “Darien Gap” between the two countries, so you’d have to drive down to Panama and have your car shipped from there to Colombia (or another country if you find a better deal.) It could cost over $1000 and lots of red tape and paper work, plus insurance that’s valid in every country. Colon, Panama is a port that has cargo ships to Cartagena, Colombia, so search for ships on that route to see if there’s a deal. The distance isn’t so far, but it might be easier to figure out something else.
