Fermilab found that due to the wide availability of flu vaccinations, many employees had opportunities for vaccination by their personal doctors or outside campaigns. Fermilabs Medical Office dispenses the vaccine as soon as it is practical. In past years, the timing of the vaccine release was prioritized by public health officials and some other outlets had the vaccine available earlier. Fermilabs Medical Office found that many people who were affiliated with Fermilab had already obtained their vaccinations. Fermilab will offer the regular flu vaccine to employees this fall, but does not yet know when the Medical Office will receive the vaccine.
