I’ve never seen anyone do that, but it seems that if you bring your own supplies it isn’t communion anymore, it’s you-union. If you’re worried about germs, talk to the pastor or priest and explain how you feel, and I’m sure they will make accommodations for you, such as providing you with your own wafer and wine beforehand to hold onto until the entire church is served. It never hurts to ask, and I know my pastor would be very understanding of a request like this.
