Would it be ok to prop up the four corners of my laptop with pencils to prevent overheating?
What I use to prevent my laptop from overheating a special little stand I bought at a computer store. It props the computer up from the surface and lets the hot air it produces flow through, therefore diminishing overheating. It was also quite inexpensive. You can look for one online. And as for your pencil idea… I’m sure it would work just fine, except that the pencils might roll and not be very supportive of your computer.
