Would it be legal to ship a durian fruit from the uk to the us through the mail?
There’s probably a legal way to ship Durian from the UK to the USA, but it would be commercial scale, involve permits and you’d need to prove country of origin. Not all fruit is automatically a prohibited or restricted item for private individuals (though all commercial shipments of food into the USA have to be declared before they are sent because of bio-terrorism laws). However, I think it’s fairly likely the fruit would be seized and destroyed, if spotted.
