Would it be hard to write a research paper on the evolution of music?
It would be helpful if you had a solid background in music theory to write a research paper on the evolution of music; but I don’t think it absolutely necessary. But it would seem to me to be a topic more suitable for a Ph.D thesis, rather than someone at your grade level: I would counsel you to re-consider; and choose a more restricted topic.
