None of these three airlines fly directly from MAF to SAT. So, you’d have to catch a connecting flight in some other city that isn’t quite in the same direction (Southwest going through AUS is closest to same direction). So, in the time it takes to fly you could drive. It is 322 miles from the middle of Big Spring to downtown San Antonio. That’s about five hours by car including pit stops. The fastest time on Continental would be four hours (going through Houston) and would be $244 a person. It would be three and a half hours on American Eagle and cost $238. It would only be $210 per person on Southwest but the trip there is about three hours. Then you’d have to rent a car at the airport.
