The people saying that GCSE grades don’t matter are mistaken – although that’s true for most degree courses, medicine is so competitive that many med schools have strict GCSE requirements in order to differentiate between all the applicants with AAA. To be honest your grades are going to put you at a bit of a disadvantage – although they’re really good, a lot of applicants are going to have mostly A’s or A*s. So firstly you need to read through the requirements and see which schools seem to place less emphasis on GCSE grades. Then you need to do absolutely everything you can to strengthen your application in every other way.
