Would human cloning be of benifit to our specie?

That’s a very circumstantial question. In terms of medical benefit, cloning human tissue and organs would provide a very large benefit in terms of replacing malfunctioning human parts. It would be a more natural and realistic method of organ and tissue donating rather than using a machine or pigs heart. In terms of cloning for reproduction, this could also be a benefit for people who cannot sexually reproduce, but would like their own offspring. But for the science fiction lovers out there, I do not see how massively producing a certain genetic variety would work. Doing so would limit the human gene pool and leave larger populations suceptible to potential new genetic diseases, as well as weakened immunity to bacteria, viral attacks, or many other pathogenic diseases. For an example, look up the correlation of Sickle Cell Anemia (a genetic disease) and how it has played a role in limiting the effect of malaria in Africa. Overall, I think cloning research needs to develop more so we can
