Google, the world’s leading Internet search engine, detected cyberattacks on its corporate infrastructure or core computer systems in December. The “sophisticated and targeted” cyberattacks entitled Operation Aurora, originating from China, targeted Google and thirty-three other companies potentially stealing trade secrets and source code. Google considers the cyberattacks as a security breach and theft of intellectual property.
